HireBird

The goal of this project was two-fold:

1. Create a visually engaging landing page that communicates HireBird’s unique value proposition and encourages sign-ups.

2. Design an admin panel that enables efficient management of users, job postings, and analytics to support the platform’s growth.

Overview

HireBird is an innovative startup that reimagines the hiring process by combining elements of dating apps with job matchmaking. This unique concept fosters meaningful connections between job seekers and employers through a user-friendly, intuitive platform. As part of the project, I was tasked with designing a mock up of a landing page and an efficient admin panel to support the platform’s operations.

My Approach & Contributions

Research:

  • Conducted competitive analysis of job-matching platforms and dating apps to identify successful design patterns and features.
  • Collaborated with stakeholders to gather insights on the platform’s target audience and business goals.

Wireframing & Prototyping:

  • Developed low-fidelity wireframes to align on layout and functionality for both the landing page and admin panel.
  • Iterated through multiple rounds of feedback before progressing to high-fidelity prototypes.

Testing:

  • Conducted usability testing with prospective users and stakeholders to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement.

Challenges I Faced

  • Landing Page: Balancing a sleek, professional look with a sense of approachability to align with HireBird’s playful yet career-focused brand identity.

  • Admin Panel: Ensuring functionality and simplicity while managing complex features such as user moderation, job listing approvals, and analytics dashboards.

  • Clear Messaging: Focused on conveying HireBird’s value proposition with compelling copy, bold headlines, and user-focused storytelling.

  • Visual Hierarchy: Designed a clean layout with intuitive navigation and call-to-action buttons strategically placed to guide users toward signing up.

     

  • Interactive Elements: Integrated playful yet professional animations to capture attention while maintaining credibility.

     

  • Mobile-First Design: Optimized for responsiveness to ensure seamless experiences on both desktop and mobile devices.

Admin Panel

  • User Management: Designed a dashboard for admins to easily view, approve, or suspend accounts with quick-access filters and sorting options.
  • Job Postings: Created a streamlined interface for managing job listings, including approval workflows and detailed analytics for each posting.
  • Analytics Dashboard: Integrated key metrics like user sign-ups, engagement rates, and successful matches into visually digestible charts and graphs.
  • Consistency: Applied a cohesive design system across the admin panel to maintain brand identity and improve usability.

The Results

Landing Page: Increased user sign-ups by 18% during beta launch, with a significant boost in mobile engagement.

Admin Panel: Delivered a functional prototype that streamlined internal operations, reducing the time spent on user and job management tasks by 25%.
